2 billion tons of coal a year has now turned into about a trillion tons of CO2 for the accumulated total. Approximate back of the envelope math: Divide a trillion by the mass of the atmosphere(~5.5 quadrillion tons) and you get 180 ppm increase. 420ppm(now)-280ppm(pre-industrial) is 140ppm.
1912 - it’s there in black & white!

But 110 YEARS LATER governments subsidised the fossil fuel industry to the tune of $7 TRILLION!

Billions of people will die not because climate collapse is unavoidable, but because elites decided our lives are less important than fossil fuel profits.

The simpler my life gets the happier I am. That's likely the case for others who go down the path of simplification.

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

Up On The Roof

🎶When my poll numbers start getting me down
And reality is just too much for me to face
I'm pulled right up to the top of the stairs
To get away from my splintering base

On the roof, it's peaceful as can be
And there, mean facts below can't bother me🎶

Republicans complain about Texas Democrats “fleeing”—yet just days ago, they themselves fled D.C. to avoid voting on the Epstein files.

Why? To protect a convicted felon sitting in the Oval Office.

One side dodges accountability.
The other fights for democracy.
