Bikes rule!
Minneapolis’ city council president knows how important it is to plow our bikeways… because he rides year round.

I wish more electeds had experience walking, biking & taking transit - esp in winter!
Late night ride back from City Hall after unanimously approving the 2026 budget. Grateful to have an escort up johnson as it was getting plowed!

To steal from the great Charles T. Brown: "Mobility is about more than transportation, mobility is about access to life."

Car dependency makes our lives worse in so many ways.
People in the US won't believe this, but a society requiring people to own a motor vehicle to get anywhere actually gives you LESS freedom than a society where you can safely walk, bike, or feasibly opt to take mass transit.
If you're a slave to your car, you're also a slave to your job.

There is exactly one way to rapidly cut pollution at scale, save money both at the govt and household level, and do it without federal help.

The best fastest thing to do on climate is to just make cities safer for walking and biking. That's it.

Every climate person should be working on this.
City Hall: Experts at King’s College London estimated that, from when the Mayor came into office in 2016, without additional action it would take 193 years for London to meet legal limits. It has been achieved in nine years.

How about we treat distracted driving, speeding, and unnecessarily large vehicles as the deadly threats they are and stop diffusing responsibility by preaching that everyone outside a car needs to play a part in mitigating these threats? I don’t want to hear from experts who don’t bike commute daily

DOJ dropping the case against Homan is just mind boggling levels of bald faced corruption… this is so fucking embarrassing
The FBI recorded Tom Homan, now the White House border czar, accepting $50,000 in cash after indicating he could help the agents — who were posing as business executives — win government contracts in a second Trump administration. www.mediaite.com/media/news/b...
DOJ Shut Down Probe Into Alleged Tom Homan Bribe: Report
A bombshell new report claims Tom Homan was being investigated for allegedly accepting a $50,000 bribe before the Trump DOJ shut it down.

The Embankment cycleway (CS3) in London was purposefully built to be wider than was usual in order to future proof it.

Some said it would hardly be used.

Now there’s a decent case for widening it further.

Induced demand is real.

And one final thought: Ozzy going out after giving an emotional final performance that raised a ton of money for charity is more spiritually uplifting and did more genuine good than anything any televangelist and religious grifter who railed against him ever did combined.

If you’re smart, the more you learn, the more you know about how much you don’t know. Only the most shallow of minds can possibly believe that they know EVERYTHING… It’s so embarrassing to have our nation represented by such an ignorant fool
