I’ll go even further: a lot of the white privilege that Ashkenazi Jews enjoy today is built on unstable socio-political terrain. The Third Reich built an entire legal system founded on the notion that we were Not White less than a century ago.

Yuletide fic status was approaching bears (or rather, the bears were approaching) but I'm in a tedious county council meeting about a zoning text amendment. Now I have a few hundred additional words done and I think I know where things are going. Whew.

Pro tip for the folks who *haven't* had vaccines as a special interest of sorts: If anyone is making claims about vaccine side effects and you see they're blithely citing data from VAERS, you can dismiss whatever they're saying as bunk.

Calling all furries and furry-adjacent folks! A mom near me has a 10-year-old who has been saving up for a wolf fur head and she's trying to find furry communities, preferably kids, for him to talk to. She's open-minded and not judgmental, but she doesn't know where to look. Anyone have any ideas?
