Caving on a deal that doesn’t fix health care is, and always has been, a giant betrayal of the American people.

Hold the line. Save health care. I’m a NO on anything that doesn’t extend ACA subsidies.

This is part of the tragedy of a surrender now. It invites more pain and suffering by emboldening the regime. Why should they listen to a weak opposition?
Schumer and the Dems are about to teach Trump the lesson that they’ll cave whenever he abuses power to sufficiently hurt people.

The wealth of the 10 richest Americans has soared by $700 billion since Trump was reelected.

Meanwhile, millions of Americans are going hungry because Trump is illegally withholding contingency funds that would keep food stamps funded during his shutdown.

Let's not lose sight all of this, the shutdown, 24 million Americans about to lose their health insurance, 42 million Americans about to go hungry, is all because the GOP needs to keep the tie-breaking vote to release the Epstein Files from being sworn in. 1/

Yesterday, I took to the House Floor to ask for Unanimous Consent to swear in Rep.-elect Grijalva.

Speaker Johnson isn’t just silencing one Representative. He’s silencing 800,000 people in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District.

SWEAR HER IN.

Let's be clear. The shutdown won't end until a deal is made with House & Senate leaders. The House needs to be in session for that. If the House in session, Johnson will have to swear in Grijalva. Which will approve the release of the Epstein files.
So we are shut down because of the Epstein files.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

This is relevant again today. The directive just went out. Keep in mind, it’s illegal for the president to use the military as police without invoking the insurrection act.
That’s interesting. Last time I heard the phrase “Quick Reaction Force” was during the January 6 investigations when the Oath Keepers stashed an arsenal at a Virginia hotel. Gift link: wapo.st/46UGmic

We have had a lot of success fighting against Trump and election deniers in court. I am confident that won't change. What I worry about are the pillars of democracy that can't be fixed in court as well as the weaponization of DOJ against Trumps political opponents and free and fair elections.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
