This is the kind of thing that makes me think that no matter what one might argue hypothetically could happen with LLMs, the main thing will be making everyone a lot lazier. Even the cheating students used to put more effort into cheating :-/

If you have a product that people love and want to use... you do not have to do that. Like, when the iPhone came out, your Mac wasn't constantly saying to you, 'Hey, have you tried sending emails on your iPhone???'

So people who want to change the trajectory of where AI is in society today should start by noting that *current approaches to stopping adoption have failed*. That is a factual, measurable statement. I don’t believe repeating them will suddenly start working, maybe some people think so, but I don’t.
