I think something non cyclists don't quite understand is the amount of mental exhaustion one feels after biking in car-heavy environment. It's just constant vigilance.
My jaw literally dropped, it’s not an exaggeration to say as a cyclist one feels constantly like you will be hit by a car on the roads:
Automobile association found that almost 10% of the time a cyclist crosses the road they have a potential conflict with a vehicle.
Severity low/med just means 1/

I really do think we’re well beyond this point.
If you pretend that your differences with friends and coworkers and family are about “politics” when in fact they’re about right versus wrong and fascism versus the rule of law, you’re doing your country a grave disservice.

Thanks to DOGE, my life is taking a turn. HUD was offered a second deferred resignation. I decided to take the offer. My last day in the office is 5/2 and then go on administrative leave until retirement on 9/30. (Think this is unfair? Complain to Elon)
I hate that my career is ending like this.
