This isn't just Hanania being a perv. It's an intrinsic part of white supremacy because their stated goal of reproducing as many white babies as possible gives them license to prey on and impregnate underage white girls. It's always been a built in excuse.

I kind of appreciate Sydney Sweeney's willingness to take on unconventional roles to play against type (Immaculate, Eden, Christy), but the problem is she's just not a good enough actor to pull off those roles, and she's not famous enough with normies to coast on her name.

Here's the thing: you don't need to primary every one of them. Republicans primaried Eric Cantor and Richard Lugar and by doing so radically remade their entire party. You just need to make examples of one or two to put the fear of god in the rest.

Dems can't win a shutdown fight because the harms of a shutdown only matter to them. Fed employees get RIFed or don't get paid? Civil litigation freeze? SNAP benefits cut? Republicans actively support all these things. You can't take a hostage the other guy wants to kill.
This vote is indefensible on the merits. And the politics and timing suck ass.
But, I mean… Trump simply didn’t care that the government was shut down, and he wasn’t going to START caring because his brain is soup.

My read of it (with very incomplete information) is scoring more political points would have required destroying Thanksgiving travel and at least 10 Dem Senators don’t have the stomach for that.

The late-stage turnaround of the Predator franchise has been fascinating to watch. Predator: Badlands is great. I did not expect it to basically be The Goonies with Predators, but here we are. Still liked Prey better but this was a total blast.
‘PREDATOR: BADLANDS’ is the first film in the franchise to have the Predator as the hero, and this risk pays off huge in a thrilling adventure with jaw-dropping action.

The key difference between 1st and 2nd degree murder under Illinois law appears to be that for 2nd degree murder, the defendant unreasonably believes the killing to be justified. That seems very much like a law that exists to protect the cops.
