Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Expect a significant drop in sexual exploitation cases brought by DOJ when the numbers come in at the end of the year. And that's not because there's less sexual abuse or CSAM out there - it's because this administration doesn't care how many kids get molested.
Online child sexual abuse material (CSAM) has been getting noticeably less attention and follow-up from authorities, per NYT, as the DHS is overwhelmingly used for Stephen Miller’s immigration crusade

This isn't just Hanania being a perv. It's an intrinsic part of white supremacy because their stated goal of reproducing as many white babies as possible gives them license to prey on and impregnate underage white girls. It's always been a built in excuse.

Worth thinking about the close relationship between pedophilia and white supremacy. We can't let minority groups outbreed us, so we have to have more white babies. And because we have to have more white babies, white women need to get pregnant younger and younger.
Dershowitz: The predecessor on your show described Epstein as a convicted pedophile. He pleaded guilty to one count of having sex for money with a 17-year-and-10-month-old person. That’s not a pedophile.

Something the US needs to accept too is that without a large-scale correction imposing consequences on a large number of people, the crisis of governance here will continue indefinitely

Bill Belichick is 73 years old and his career winning percentage without Tom Brady is .446. You would not hire this person if you were a competent GM.
On Tuesday, Bill Belichick danced around questions about the Giants' vacancy. On Friday night, he was far more unequivocal that he's not returning to the NFL.

We're now up to over 40 persons pardoned by Trump facing charges for new crimes. The recidivism rate is exceptionally high. Showing that the people sentenced were in fact hardened criminals... but wealthy enough to buy their pardons. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
Ponzi Schemer Who Got Trump Clemency Faces 50 Years in New Fraud

Ken Starr actually represented Epstein in the original case, and it was Starr and Alan Dershowitz who negotiated the secret, illegal non-prosecution agreement with U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta in 2008.
Ken Starr, immediately after being fired for his role in the coverup of sexual abuse at Baylor: I should reach out to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein

Always been weird to me that we still celebrate the Armistice, objectively a catastrophic failure that led to a much worse war 20 years later. It's like having a holiday to celebrate the Compromise of 1850.

I kind of appreciate Sydney Sweeney's willingness to take on unconventional roles to play against type (Immaculate, Eden, Christy), but the problem is she's just not a good enough actor to pull off those roles, and she's not famous enough with normies to coast on her name.
‘Christy’ starring Sydney Sweeney opens to $1.3M at the domestic box office

Well what did you expect, these soldiers were antifa after all.

"Why was this a story worth telling?" is never a reaction you want when the credits roll but that's how I felt at the end of The Smashing Machine. What was the point? I understand that bald fraud Dwayne wants his Oscar but he ain't getting one for this.

Here's the thing: you don't need to primary every one of them. Republicans primaried Eric Cantor and Richard Lugar and by doing so radically remade their entire party. You just need to make examples of one or two to put the fear of god in the rest.
primary every democrat, i don’t give a shit, but the cause of your suffering is the republican party and there are a lot of you who need to learn to hate them more — and i do mean hate — than you hate your allies

Dems can't win a shutdown fight because the harms of a shutdown only matter to them. Fed employees get RIFed or don't get paid? Civil litigation freeze? SNAP benefits cut? Republicans actively support all these things. You can't take a hostage the other guy wants to kill.
This vote is indefensible on the merits. And the politics and timing suck ass.

But, I mean… Trump simply didn’t care that the government was shut down, and he wasn’t going to START caring because his brain is soup.

So this was always going to last until Dems got too uncomfortable and caved. 🤦

The prospect of even a slight inconvenience to upper middle class white folks' holiday travel plans has the Democratic Senate caucus ready to unconditionally surrender.
My read of it (with very incomplete information) is scoring more political points would have required destroying Thanksgiving travel and at least 10 Dem Senators don’t have the stomach for that.

Alexander Smirnov was not pardoned. He did not receive a commutation. He did not receive compassionate (early) release. The Bureau of Prisons (which is part of DOJ, and thus works for Pam Bondi) just... let him out and didn't tell anyone because he did their dirty work for them.
SCOOP: Alexander Smirnov, the FBI informant convicted of lying about a fake bribery scheme involving the Bidens has been quietly released from prison just months into a six-year sentence—raising concern he could be pardoned by Trump any moment.

The late-stage turnaround of the Predator franchise has been fascinating to watch. Predator: Badlands is great. I did not expect it to basically be The Goonies with Predators, but here we are. Still liked Prey better but this was a total blast.

Just didn't find the central dilemma of House of Dynamite that compelling. Obviously you wait to figure out who nuked you before blindly retaliating! The consequences of getting a retaliatory strike against Russia and China wrong are so much worse than the risks of waiting and seeing.

The key difference between 1st and 2nd degree murder under Illinois law appears to be that for 2nd degree murder, the defendant unreasonably believes the killing to be justified. That seems very much like a law that exists to protect the cops.
