The map you are seeing comes from 2021, it was made by a youtuber name CGP Grey. While I don't believe they ment to misinform, the map has been in question since its first post. Studies even from 2022 show wildly different results.

It is not in fact classist to tell people to never talk to cops without a lawyer ffs. Pro bono and sliding scale lawyers like me exist and even if you don't have one, demand the public defender. There are exactly zero good reasons to talk to the cops without a lawyer. Zero.
