For the week of March 17, 2025

Mind: Five of Cups. So things didn’t go the way you planned. You had a mental map all laid out; you had decided that This Is How It Works. Then it didn’t work out that way. You have to let go of that thing you were obsessing over,

I love how the same idiot trumpers who literally blamed egg prices on Biden, and bragged that trump was going to magically bring them down, are all backtracking and saying he CAN'T do anything about egg prices.

And eggs are just the beginning.

Mind: Six of Cups. You’re thinking about better times, feeling the nostalgic pull for things past. Indulge in that whimsy; it’s okay to look at the past and its childlike wonder,

To the left is a chunk of amethyst, to the right is a deck of tarot cards, and directly in front of the soapstone plate is a three inch selenite wand. In front of these items are three tarot cards. A tarot card rests on a gold and black floral cloth. It is the Six of Cups. On its face a young woman pouring tea into rather large cups on a small table. She is in the woods, surrounded by fairies and sprites--some of which hold cups--and before the table are stuffed animals which could arguably be said to look alive. Through the forest flows a stream teeming with fish. A tarot card rests on a gold and black cloth. It is the Three of Cups. On its face are three mermaids swimming in a circle so quickly that they've created a large air bubble just for themselves. At the center of the circle they joyfully offer their cups to one another. A tarot card sits on a black and gold background. It is the Six of Swords, reversed. On its face are six swords upon which perch calling crows. Above them flies a crying swan, and on her back rests a sleeping man. They seem to be flying in front of the sun, leaving the crows far behind. The card is upside down.

One more chapter in my essential oils rant: There are no standards for essential oil purity. Each manufacturer is free to make up their own. Don't trust MLM reps! Inexpensive oils are cheap carrier oils with artificial scent and thus magically pretty useless.

I'm still healing this in myself. In my case, I think it comes from growing up in an authoritarian household. After I started learning about witchcraft, I spent my last two years at home with a suitcase under my bed, just in case. My mom may've been Mormon, but the Southern Baptist still ran deep.

Mind: Three of Swords, reversed. There has been a betrayal, and it’s weighing heavy on you because–despite everything being out in the open now–nothing is changing.
A small altar is in the foreground. In the center at the back is a soapstone plate with a little goddess figurine and a lit resin incense burner. To the left is a chunk of an amethyst geode, and to the right is a deck of tarot cards. Directly in front is a small selenite wand. In the front of the altar space are three tarot cards. The first is the Three of Swords, reversed. The second is the Nine of Wands, reversed. The third is the Four of Wands. They will be described more in depth in the next three pictures. The picture shows a tarot card, the Three of Swords reversed. A wounded swan is in the center, with three swords piercing her breast. Blood drips from one of their tips. In the stone wall above and to the right of her is a carved circle with a bleeding heart in the center. The edges of the carved circle are also bleeding. The card is upside down. The image shows a tarot card, the Nine of Wands, reversed. In the center is a man in armor astride a beast that looks similar to a lion with an armored helmet. In his hand is a staff, reminiscent of a lance a knight might use in a duel. The man and the lion are at the edge of a cliff in a watchful pose, and behind them in the distance are eight more shadowy figures astride their own lions and holding their own staves. They seem as though they might be waiting for an opposing army. The card is upside down. The image shows a tarot card, the Four of Wands. In the center of the card are four leaping unicorns jumping high over what appears to be a hedge of roses. Around them, in between, and even riding on a couple of the unicorn's backs are a multitude of happy little fairies joining in their joy and freedom. The unicorn leaping the highest is piercing the sun with its horn.
