Utter nonsense describing these as a ‘proscribed organisation.’

14 years for objecting to daily murders of innocent women and children and genocidal starvation. Laughable if it wasn’t so serious

Poor. Horrible. Woeful. Awful. Uninspiring. Uncreative. Painful to watch. Same old crap. Disgusting. Embarrassing. Shit.
League One bound.

Ran out of adjectives.

Happy Eid to everyone celebrating 😇🙏

Happy Friday to those not celebrating 😇

And Happy D-Day!

I am fasting today, Eid is tomorrow.

And as everyone knows, since I am fasting, I have told everyone I met, even strangers, that they shouldn’t be eating or drinking the whole day till 9:15 pm out of respect.

I saw one old man eating secretly and I took his sandwich away 💪

2022/23: We ended City’s quadruple dreams

2024/25: City somehow collapsed after the two times they faced us

Sorry Pep, we are going down now 😅

The people in Ashton might have their shops closed, centre looking dead, and care homes without care workers, but they will be extremely happy in their lives as their neighbour won’t be a brown person.
This is Ashton-under-Lyne today, the nearest big town to where I grew up. Local MP is the deputy prime minister, Angela Rayner. It's a ghost town now. The sense of hopelessness is palpable. This is where money should go, to the towns like this, not towards yet another anti-immigration proposals.

Perhaps we could appeal to the 80% of voters who think Nigel Farage is a scumbag?

Instead of everyone appealing to the 20% who are racist morons?

As someone who grew up in one of the UK's most ethnically diverse cities, I do find Starmer's "island of strangers" comment oddly personally insulting 😕

In contrast to it, I really enjoyed this article about the Muslim photographer Nudrat Afza photographing Bradford's last synagogue:
‘If it isn’t recorded it will disappear’: the Muslim photographer shining a light on Bradford’s Jewish community
When Nudrat Afza learned that her friend’s synagogue was closing she began a multi-year project to document the city’s declining Jewish population. ‘In Bradford people from different communities respe...

Brilliant thread from Russ here.
Shameful bullish. What's done incalculable damage is a decade of pernicious falsehoods about immigration, while people who should know better refuse to counter the lies of the increasingly normalised far right.

Let's tackle those lies:

Starmer thinks that by sucking Reform voters dick that he will be able to get their vote.

Not a single reform voter will ever vote for Labour mate.
If you believe reducing immigration will reduce support for Nigel Farage you are utterly deluded, it will cripple the economy and increase his support.

He is laughing you cannot beat his lies by playing into them, only empower them.

This seems especially pertinent today. Starmer's "cracking down" on immigration is going to make zero practical difference to towns like Ashton and the people who live there. Life will continue to feel shit, and they'll punish the government for it when the time comes, red or blue.

What's sad is that Starmer clearly doesn't believe this. He can't possibly believe it, because it's totally incongruous with everything else he says. But he thinks it'll help him stay as PM, a job he is bad at and has few plans to do anything with. Ambition really can be a cancer for the soul.

The problems in our society are not caused by migrants or refugees.

They are caused by an economic system rigged in favour of corporations and billionaires.

If the government wanted to improve people’s lives, it would tax the rich and build an economy that works for us all.

“Let’s train the British people to become care workers, it doesn’t take few weeks”

Said a millionaire politician in his air-conditioned room who doesn’t understand what the British People want to work at and what it takes to be a care worker.
