what I want trans kids, queer kids, and gender nonconforming kids to know:

you are loved

you are so much more powerful than the ghouls using your healthcare as a political pawn, and you WILL outlive them (they know this, and it is why they're attacking you)

A movie that takes place where you are from.

(Also, literally filmed at my highschool and NE Portland in general)

This is surprisingly easy to do and fun to have even if you don't have kids.
If you own your house everything costs $700 everyday BUT you also can just paint a chalk wall in the kitchen on a whim

Still optimistic.
It is going to be interesting as to what the final straw will be when it comes to this administration.
I am still optimistic that it will not last a year.

I was on a jury for a Spousal Rape case this year. It was devastating to hear it from the victim and thankfully she was able to break free from that relationship.
The jury listened and now he is behind bars.
Today is the publication day for WITHOUT CONSENT, a book I am so proud to share with the world, and that the New York Times Book Review says "is years — decades — overdue."

Or, and hear me out, we could use that money to fix things in Oregon.
This is like getting a raise at work and instead of using it to fix your leaky roof, you give back to the company.

As an avid blood donor, my house is filling up with Red Cross swag. At this point, I also get $30 in gift cards.

One of my major problems with SNAP benefits is that, instead of it being a short term fix for people, it has become a bail-out for companies to maintain low wages. No one that works 40hrs should need SNAP.

SNAP is a great program, but it is being abused by corporations not people in need.

Gut feeling but I suspect that because Trump is "paying for it", he will claim that he owns it and will lease it to the government. Therefore, his family will make money off of our White House.
“What, you ask, will that grand structure be called? Did you have to ask? According to the pledge agreement sent to donors, they’ll be contributing to the construction of ‘The Donald J. Trump Ballroom at the White House.’”

Our House Was a Very, Very, Very Fine House
Trump views the physical history of the White House much as he views the nation’s laws: something to be swept aside at will.

Here is the thing: from what I can tell the only part of the government that is closed is the democratic side. The republicans are still doing whatever they want, so why negotiate?
The Democrats should hold firm, but I suspect that the government is going to be "closed" for a long time.
Q: Do you owe it to the American people to at least negotiate?

THUNE: Well, I think we have negotiated. I don't know what there is to negotiate.

Text your friend a squid fact. Watch a video of a cuttlefish doing something cute.
Doodle a squid and then show it to me.

The world is cruel but squid are good.

I have so many, but my go to is Daybreak. A teen zombie horror/comedy with a diverse cast, good story telling, and one of the most legit heel turns on TV.

Tales from war torn Portland:
My mother was viciously attacked by a roving gang of toddlers. She was only able to escape with her PSL intact because, as she is a grandmother, she was well stocked with Dino Nuggies.

A brief bluetorial about VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System)

Self-reported data about adverse effects occurring contemporaneously with vaccinations are useful but have many limitations

The only thing I will say about that guy who died yesterday:
He was a fool who spread hateful and violent things for money. He died a violent death because of it.
With any luck, his name will be forgotten by next week.
