Not that confusing: The one summer we gave pretty boy Rob too much influence over signings is the one summer our transfer success rate fell off a cliff.

Just played one of my favourite 90s albums; first listen for 25 years at least. It's a pretty upbeat record, but I cried all the way through, thinking about all the hope, possibility and excitement I felt then. I think it's safe to assume the mid-life crisis has finally arrived

Excellent stuff. Signs that we can return to what we do best. Being looked down upon by snobby ex PL clubs and bitter losing managers.

Especially as our own attempt at being a snobby ex PL club has been a disaster.

People have been far too respectful about us in recent months. Cheeky buggers.

To some extent, of course. But when you’re not given adequate prep by your leader both physically and tactically, you’re going to be handicapped.

Just look at the run Carlton are on. Jones had his faults but his teams ran for days and always came into their own after Jan, whereas RE’s collapse.

I can’t see him being here either but if he is, he gets a clean slate in my book. All of them do. RE sold them short with his pathetic pre season and tactical naivety.

When you’re unfit and unconfident in tactics, you’re not going to perform.

That said, I won’t be shedding tears if some leave.

The federal civilian worker payroll totaled $271 billion in 2022.

The annual cost of permanently extending Trump's tax cuts that primarily benefited rich individuals? $400 billion.

Keep this in mind as Trump and DOGE lay off thousands of federal workers.

I remember feeling so angry after 2016 that people from other countries would judge all Brits because “we” voted to Leave. So I have huge sympathy with the 48% of American voters who did not help deliver the fascistic, nepotistic Trump to power now making the world less safe. But the 49.8%? 🤬

When did Rupert Murdoch become a US citizen and buy Fox et al? September 1985.
What a remarkable coincidence. 40 years ago.
He still influences the majority of Australian media as well, and it's become progressively more fash.

Never forget that Trump was the culmination of 40 years of stagnant wages, widening inequality, corruption, dog-whistle politics, and economic gains for the rich.

If we fail to address this, we should expect future Trumps as far as the eye can see.

I’ve been in or around politics for over a half-century now. I’ve watched as corporations ransacked our system. In 1952, the corporate share of federal tax revenue was 32%. In 2020, it was down to 7%. Here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people. Y'all are fucking idiots.

True, but Swindon, Wolves and Sunderland have all gone straight through the Championship. Right now, the aim has to be to make sure we don't join them, so for me the quicker we get to 50 points the quicker we can relax and look up the table.
