I'm not going back to a place that suppresses all my links, allows my misgendering, and stole my blue check for profit.
Elon's little serfs are quite literally begging journalists to come back because every publicly available source of data shows people have fled the platform and young people won't use it.

They are literally begging regular people to come back. Don't do it! It is a website by and for actual Nazis!

Almost certainly the best thing I was ever told about owls was when I met an owl handler at an owl sanctuary and he told me that the wild owls who lived near the sanctuary worried about the tame show owls there and sometimes stopped by to leave them shrews and mice as presents.

If the US can seize a Venezuelan tanker carrying sanctioned oil, then can other tankers in other places, say the Baltic or the Black Sea, also be seized?

Remember: Trump or Russian propagandists might say otherwise, but Putin is not winning, and the Ukrainians are not losing.
I am told that internal Ukrainian army information shows that more than 26,000 Russian soldiers were killed or critically wounded in the month of November. Confirmed by videos. No wonder Putin wants to get Trump to give him territory for free

Smells like Robodebt 2. And given that clear warning/lesson exists, I hope that all decision makers face genuine consequences when this catastrophically fucks up. I’m just deeply saddened that we can’t just shut it down now before it hurts people.

Arcadia is my all time favourite play
Anyway, here's my favorite passage in all of Tom Stoppard's work in what I think might be the greatest play written in the English language in the last century or so, not that everything has to be a competition, but one does like to make lists.

This was well done and also what I’ve been saying for years, glad to see more people on it
"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
Analysis: OpenAI is a loss-making machine, how can it survive?
Don't call it a bubble! Loss-making monster OpenAI is on the hook for $1.4 trillion (with a T) in compute commitments. How can this go on?

The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.

I've lost count of the times I've said "no" to Google when it's asked me to use its AI assistant.

Is AI harassment a thing?
I often have to make ads on LinkedIn for work and today I had to click 'no' on exactly 8 prompts to make my ad with AI. If it's that good, or good for me, something tells me they wouldn't need to sell it so hard.
