If I have one tip for people coming to Scotland, it’s this - slow down. Take the back roads. Don’t rush from the airport or the ferry to get up north.

There’s so much to see on the way. Here’s Forres, Dundee, Fife, and Angus.
This is quire remarkable. Definitely one to visit if you are in the area.

Funnily enough, the movie they filmed earlier this month is a sci-fi film, a ‘theatrical adaptation of the award-winning novel ATHOS 2643 by Nils Westerboer’.

And when you are in Sanderau, stop at Cafe Victoria Bachmaier for cake.

Anyone in Würzburg? The St Andreas church in Sanderau is empty at the moment as it was used as a movie set last week.

Without the benches, the stunning brutalist architecture is even more striking. You can really appreciate the light and shadow effects from the huge skylights. #brutalist

Nipped to the loo and came back to find husband had cleared away breakfast dishes, including half a cup of tea. Because it was ‘cold’.

30+ years and he still doesn’t know me.

Sorry, but lol at the second paragraph. ‘If they are to function as corporate enterprises, run by market forces’.

A company that spent £130m+ on admin and technology that doesn’t work would be out of the market pretty damn quick.

Just had a thought about the language Johnson uses - calling the experts who predicted a grim economic impact ‘gloomsters’, rather than say ‘pessimists’.

He makes them sound like ridiculous fools by using a funny word, and minimises their expertise and insights.
Your reminder that the EU offered to freeze Brexit talks in 2020 so we could focus on Covid but Johnson said no. He then fucked up both: partying while 23,000 needlessly died & did a Brexit so shit the economic impact (-8% GDP) is worse than predictions he described as “the work of gloomsters”

since the "google is now training gemini on your email contents" thing keeps bumping around here: it's _not happening_. I say this not to defend google but because I know a lot of people that have broken their filtering and made their lives much more annoying from sheer misinformation.
The malwarebytes Google opting-your-emails-into-ai-training thing is not true. The post is based on one bad tweet.

I know anti-tech lamenting is a Bluesky core principle, but please use the same judgement you would for any other clickbait.

The comments on this video are great. Basically the entire world saying ‘Cheers’ to a guy who made an excellent tutorial of how to assemble an IKEA wardrobe.

Science will often take you to unexpected and delightful places. In this study, researchers hypothesized that riders in a crowded subway car would be more likely to offer their seat to a pregnant person if there were someone in the subway car dressed as Batman 🧪🦇

So disturbing. These people should be prosecuted, imo. Profiting from a business that endangers mothers and babies.

My husband recently asked his mum (who gave birth to 1st child at home) if women died in childbirth back then. ‘Yes’, she said matter-of-factly. ‘All the time’.

What I don’t understand is the statement that the hedgerows prevented people seeing what was happening here. There just have been multiple massive dumper trucks going in and out of this site, right? Did no one think that odd?
