Whenever law enforcement agents are given a quota of a specific number of people to arrest or detain, especially with the WH policy director screaming at their superiors to hit those target numbers, bad things are going to happen. Quotas always result in civil rights violations.

It’s been 16 years since the last federal minimum wage increase. We all know that $7.25 an hour is not even close to a livable wage. It is long past time we raised the federal minimum wage, and the fact that we still haven’t is a national embarrassment.
