The root of the problem is money in politics. Eliminate PACs, cap all donations to politicians/candidates at $2,500 per election cycle (citizens as well as corporations), and require all entities airing/publishing political advocacy ads or lobbying to publish their donor lists to remove dark money.

You know if your rich enough to build rockets and launch people into space for a five minute ride , your rich enough to fund a food program somewhere in the world and pay your higher taxes, because I'm sure a starving kid somewhere will show more joy getting food than a rocket ride.
