Thinking today of the Bay Area schools I worked with in 2017, where 2 months after the last Orange Admin, so many undocumented children disappeared that the schools laid off teachers.

The number of people who still do not understand the police have no responsibility to protect them, is a serious problem, as they make decisions about how to fight against the rise of fascism. You cannot count on police to protect you from right wing vigilantes mobs. That is a historical problem.
At UCLA, police and campus security “stood at a comfortable distance, laughing and occasionally chatting amicably” with a mob including former IDF soldiers and Proud Boys who were waging their own war on anti-genocide student protesters.
