Any excuse for an adventure into central Australia on two wheels or four. Or anywhere else for that matter...
It really does feel like that sometimes. OK, all the time.

Anyone in the #advrider #adventure #motorcycle world done a ride in the Himalayas in the last couple of years? Interested in the type of ride (solo, group, unsupported, supported, etc), how it went and lessons learned for someone who hasn’t been before.

Those eyes suggest another run for freedom may not be too far away.
A sausage dog that captivated the world after disappearing on a South Australian island for a year-and-a-half has been reunited with her "euphoric" owners. Her owners made the trip from their New South Wales home to Kangaroo Island where they were emotionally reunited.

Let's get it done #Sturt. Vote for the change you want to see. Old mate James has been riding the gravy train for far too long. Let's elect someone who'll actually represent our electorate and not just ride the coat tails of his party.
#auspol
It ‘s Election Day!

#Sturt has the chance today to turn a new page. A chance to start the change we all want to see in Canberra.

A member who will work hard for the local community.

I would be honoured to have your support today.

Vote 1️⃣ Dr Verity Cooper - for a new way.

JFC! Google wants me to add my home address to my profile and my ISP wants to give me a 'free' Amazon router. Too much personal information is never enough for these arseholes.

"... the dog walked into one of their traps..." She was captured. There's no way this little freedom machine wanted to be found.

Luigi, a local Dachshund, obviously heard the news and decided to become the next free range Dachshund as he made a run for freedom on Thursday night.

This is the type of change I’m looking for. How about you?
David Pocock will push for a far greater slice of Australian gas export income through the Petroleum Resource Rent Tax, if there's a minority government.

It's a great idea. Norway charges 78% on fossil fuel profit. Why don't we?

Of course, a bit of NACC (ICAC) transparency might be an idea, too!

I guess the average punter has no real knowledge or interest in how tightly tied we are to the US but they should all read this. Absolutely spot on by @birmo.bsky.social Our future relationship with the US, starting now, is the No.1 issue for our federal election.
The old relationship we had with the United States is over.
Subtext: Because the United States is over.
That’s it. That’s the problem we are electing the next Australian government to deal with.
Mushmouthing reality.
It’s always the most important election we’ve ever faced, isn't it?

Some clear-eyed reporting from @alankohler.bsky.social here. March 18 was a momentous day but our political 'leaders' aren't brave enough to explain it let alone be seen to be doing anything about it.
This is a time when clear political vision and decisive leadership is called for, when the stakes for the coming election couldn't be higher. Not that you would know it from the grubby squabbles that pass for national debate these days. @AlanKohler.bsky.social #auspol

We're at a turning point in world history but our leaders are distracted
While Australian politicians argue about power bill relief and non-existent nuclear power stations, pressing issues like the great US retreat, global warming and AI are being ignored.
