Still searching for that blessed Moment where I feel a deep Harmony with the world and God and time disappears.
2 lessons in one:
In today’s scripture a blind man shouts for Jesus and he was shushed.

Jesus then doesn’t go to him! He orders those shushing the man in need to instead bring the man to him.

Jesus had them release their own judgements of worthiness or convenience.
Then the man’s faith saves him.

A lot to reflect win this poem of Rabi Kack Riemer (in Jesuit Prayer today).

www.appleseeds.org/sabbath-pray...

We cannot merely pray to you, O God,
to end war;
to end starvation;
to root out prejudice;
to end despair,
to end disease;
....

Today's scripture seems about being persistent in prayer... but the last question opens a very different challenge: "when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?"

_How many doubt in God’s love for them because of cruelties in life?_

Nov 14 Scripture
Wisdom is:
"an aura of the might of God
a pure effusion of the glory of God
refulgence of eternal light
spotless mirror of the power of God.
Passing into holy souls from age to age,
she produces friends of God and prophets" (Wis 7:25-27).
"Wisdom of God, infuse me with your spirit."

“The kingdom of God is not a spectacle”
— Pope Francis

1 year ago, Francis wrote this… and I think about all the discussions ongoing about the TLM, the pomp, and I can only miss Francis and ask for the Grace of recognizing when my heart and soul are missing the deep truth

It's not just about theology. Catholic traditionalism today is about a Christianist agenda driving American politics. www.commonwealmagazine.org/catholic-tra...
Catholic Traditionalism After Francis
Traditionalism today is less about questioning Vatican II theology and liturgy and more about waging broader culture wars.

The deplorable state of the US spiritual life…

This is what this election mean: Let’s support the leaders who knowingly and with hypocrisy continue to say they are Christians but tear up the pages of the Bible that make the political program look bad…

“Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water”
— John 7:38

Imagine the feeling of spiritually receiving the freshness of life and peace!

There are days where a certain passage resonates and inspires, more than in other days. Today it was reading Eze 47:1.

New College in Oxford. Only Oxford could name a college ‘new’ when it was founded in 1350. Haunted by Reverend William Archibald Spooner, famous for “Spoonerisms.” More funny than terrifying 😂 #watercolour #oxford

May be if this was repeats by the US priests in the homily …?
Are 'Catholic' members/associates/agents/apologists/supporters of the Trump regime listening to Pope Leo?
Is their first loyalty to Christ, to the Church, or to an ideology and a political false idol?

“What woman would spend more on the party than the value of coin she’d found?”
The other, (real?) side of the story in Luke 15:1-10.

No one would do this! No one would “abandon” 99 sheep to look for 1 missing.

But God does!

What a warm feeling to know I will never be left alone

“Peace is not the mere absence of war or the simple maintenance of a balance of power between forces, nor can it be imposed at the dictate of absolute power”
— Gaudium et spes, Office Of Readings today

Shame the OP mentor of Vance didn’t mention this to him

Why is it that we do not see this courage to say it lout clear in countries like .. US?

“Hope in this. Trust in this. Most of all, believe in this”
It’s difficult to understand how it will be and can be scary (for some of us) because it’s different from anything we know…
A great reflection by Fr James Martin, SJ on this very particular day
