Very happy to share this story, where we explored the interaction between GLP-1 signalling and growth! ⬇️
Besides being of scientific interest, it is my very first paper, stepping into the world of physiology ✨
Our new study, just accepted in the Journal of the Endocrine Society
👉 doi.org/10.1210/jend...
We found that semaglutide, beyond its metabolic effects, can exacerbate growth stunting in juvenile mice by reducing energy metabolism, a context-dependent effect of GLP-1 signaling.

1/ 🚨 Excited to share our new study, now published in The Journal of Nutrition! We developed a mouse model of juvenile protein-energy malnutrition (PEM) to assess growth recovery after refeeding with optimal or suboptimal diets.

Suboptimal refeeding compensates stunting in a mouse model of juvenile malnutrition
Early postnatal life is a critical period of rapid growth in mammals, heavily reliant on adequate nutrition. Protein-energy malnutrition (PEM) during …

Very excited that the lab's first paper is out! We showed that in stem cells, Aurora B controls abscission dynamics by regulating microtubules stability and MCAK recruitment. Very happy with this streamlined version of our 2024 preprint.

Aurora B controls microtubule stability to regulate abscission dynamics in stem cells
Mouse embryonic stem cells remain connected by bridges for hours after cell division. In this paper, Kodba et al. show that a high Aurora B activity at the bridge leads to microtubule stabilization. S...
