The Senate bill is rooted in the idea that we just need to get BP/ICE "back to" only terrorizing people we deem worthy of being terrorized, and not White people. The exact problematic understanding people have been trying to warn against... While a lot of White people insisted that concern was silly

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told his officers that they have a duty to intervene if they see ICE committing crimes and will be fired if they don't. We need a lot more of this.

Disappointing to see people on here talking about their ideal ICE/CBP reforms.

It is a terrorism organization that is conducting terror campaigns.

Abolish.

At minimum.

That's it.

This is them "backing down." They're saying that they're going to war with community activists at the core of the Democratic Party. Senators need to understand that what they're consenting to here is a Minneapolis on the Democratic Party's organizing core.
TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

It's like a bit the way the whole world is taking shit seriously now that what's been happening for a year, and far longer depending on who you are, finally happened to a white guy with a gun.

This isn't about "training issues." The murderer who executed Renee Good has been with ICE for 10 years, and according to DHS, the murderer who executed Alex Pretti has been there for 8 years.

These aren't "new recruits," or officers that can be "retrained." ICE can't be reformed. Abolish ICE.

ICE & U.S. Customs & Border Protection employed at least 30 people with sexual & violent criminal histories in recent years.

At least 20 agents committed offenses with underage victims. The bulk of abuse happened within the last two years.

This article includes names of the agents.
