There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.
What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.
It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. On our way to vacation in Delaware and remembering the optimism we felt this time last year is heartbreaking. But I did just lean out the window and cheer on No Kings protestors at least there’s that.

Heading back from Barcelona. Was worried about how we’d be treated, thanks to the policies, rhetoric, and shameful behavior of our government. But everyone was incredibly friendly and we had a wonderful time. Heading back to reality & what awaits us won’t be easy.

I haven’t gotten a chance to see The Pitt finale yet but I did get the chance to see this in person, so I guess it evens out.
