This is a real head-scratcher to me: Trump said Hernández had been "treated very harshly and unfairly" in a social media post. On the other hand, guys in fast boats just get blown up. - that’s pretty harsh.

Our local Supervisor of Elections is going to resign ahead of the 2026 midterms- not sure how I’m going to feel about Ron DeSantis’ choice for a replacement.

I worry that the US capacity to maintain databases is going to seriously impact our ability to assess efficacy of a variety of programs and services. I hope large useful datasets are archived somewhere, somehow.

Everything that’s happening right now is based on complex statistical models and our digital activity. It’s morbidly fascinating to see all this IRL.
