Oh, did I mention I've been back to working on the rewrites for the book? Y'all. I thought it was crap after the first draft, but now, I think it's...good? It's certainly a lot of fun, but playing in the sandbox of Greek mythology made it that way, for sure. #writing

Went ahead and booked my San Francisco hotel, too. I'm choosing boutique hotels and they tend to run out of rooms fast, so all the hotels for my road trip are now booked! California is expensive, y'all. But I've been saving up and I'll continue to save up. Dream road trip! #travel

Booked my hotel in Santa Barbara and, whew, that place is expensive. Rates were starting to creep up, so I booked now and can always re-book if rates go back down. This California road trip is happening! #travel

Loved the finale for Stranger Things and I don't care for anyone who says otherwise. Seeing it in the theater was really incredible.

My 2026 goal is to get my physical health back in order. I managed to get a bit of a handle on my anxiety this year, no thanks to the state of this country. So I need to focus on being healthy physically again and get this acid reflux under control.

I won't be seeing Stranger Things tonight, though. I've got a ticket to see it in the theater tomorrow with friends. Fortunately, I've never had anything spoiled on BlueSky. But I will be avoiding every other site on the Internet.

I was at the Sundance Film Festival at a private party, and played that whole "are just trying to pass each other or dance" game with Emily Blunt. But then she looked at me like she recognized me and was like, "Oh, hi!" like we were old friends. That was it. That was the interaction.

This baby just turned 17, but she's still sassy, she still terrorizes the kittens, and she still has tons of tortitude. I know our time is growing short, but I treasure every moment she's yelling at me to pet her. Happy Birthday, Maggie!
