This, sadly, is true. The United States government is in the hands of morally depraved and morally corrupted people who are enabled by moral cowards and the morally apathetic.
I don’t really give a shit how much of a conservative this makes me sound like, but the United States has suffered an existential collapse in the civic virtue of our citizens necessary to sustain a liberal democracy.

The implicit assumption in a “just rely on missiles from CONUS” force posture is that every problem requiring the use of force can be solved with denial or with coercion by punishment. This is obviously … a debatable assumption. This is offshore balancing on steroids.
The overarching issue with this is that as bomber people will be the first to tell you, a sustained bombing campaign from the CONUS alone is a suboptimal COA at best

PA's Gov. Shapiro just signed an executive order directing agencies to prioritize the recruitment of federal employees, notably presenting all state positions in federal terms. Saying that an IT position is the equivalent of a GS-13 Supervisory IT Specialist is really helpful! pa.gov/content/dam/...
