As a climate scientist I never imagined I’d see fascism in my life.
Colleague is work travelling to the USA. They removed themselves from private chats about climate & issues e.g., decline of the US National Climate Assessment, for fear of being detained at US airport & having their phone searched.

The South Australian algal bloom is killing an immense amount of sea life. Algal blooms are likely to be more common with climate change (warmer water and longer marine heatwaves, changed wind patterns/upwelling and more river flood outflows to provide nutrients).

The algal bloom in SA is a warning to coastal communities, as well as tourism, seafood and aquaculture industries. It’s a sign of what’s to come as the oceans warm.
