As if carbon offsets weren’t a big enough fraud…welcome to the world of ‘biodiversity offsets’…sure the idea failed dismally in NSW but Murray Watt is keen to have a crack…

what could go wrong?

Just even more extinctions i suppose…#climate #nature

How many extra possums does it take to compensate for a dead platypus?
That’s the kind of calculation a bureaucrat would literally have to make under Environment Minister Murray Watt’s new ‘environmental laws’.

We'll see more & more of this. 15cm hail fell in parts of Brisbane today & destroyed all my solar panels. Not the first destructive storm here this month & it's not even storm season yet. Meanwhile the Albanese govt is busy pushing climate destroying environmental legislation through

Independent media has a future when young authors have opportunity, support, mentoring, and resources to share their fresh perspectives and inventive solutions freely and fearlessly. P&I supports young writers. Can you help? #auspol #fundraising
Nurturing the next generation of voices
One of the things that sets P&I apart is the seniority and deep experience of many of our authors. And that will not change, facts and historical understanding of issues are essential if we are to tackle the huge issues confronting us all. But the other essential element is fresh thinking and the kind of sparkling hope and action that young Australians bring to the table.

I'm so sick of this kind of take on what is clearly dangerous policy. Politics isn't just a damn game, it impacts every aspect of our lives, and in this area (climate policy) it threatens the future of comfortable & prolific life on the whole planet. Can we focus on what matters please?
