Let me give some insight on this, as a producer in the dub industry who worked with major streamers, who's witnessed first-hand where this push for AI is coming from.
tl;dr: Only CEOs want this. Tell them how much you hate it. Be loud, email, call, @, post. You will kill this.

The only thing less human than these AI dub performances is the decision to sign off on them
A company this big can pay human actors a decent wage, not produce slop that intentionally removes the human element.

So the Banana Fish AI dub is def cause it’s shoujo and BL right. Like they’re def testing the waters on AI dubbing against two audiences who get crumbs anyway and are likely to take it and smile.

Debating if I wanna reread all of yotd before it ends in december or just catch up from where I last left off (abt volume 41 I believe) 🤔
I'll probably also reread it once the last print volume comes out in english but that will probably take another year or so...

Just finished reading the first two 12 Kingdoms books. One thing I really wished it had while reading was some sort of foot note/translators notes as there were a few cultural and historic references made that I had to stop reading and pull out my phone to look up to fully understand
