I believe those who voted for Trump believed he would not hurt them. Only his enemies would get hurt. Now they are surprised that they are losing their jobs, their retirements are impacted, and that they are still paying high prices for everything they buy.

So Lutnick is behind the tariffs. Same Lutnick who as head of Cantor Fitzgerald within days after 9/11 cancelled the paychecks of the almost 700 employees at work in the WTC on 9/11. Does anyone think he cares about the people he supposedly serves?

Does anyone really think this attack on the civil service is just to decrease the size of the government? The administration has people ready to go to fill those spots with people who support them. And just like the court system extreme Republicans will have control long after Trump is gone.

Yes, Trump does not like to be overshadowed . However, if Musk has promised him money, possibly merging Truth Social with X, then Trump is going to keep them. His presidency is about two things, staying out of jail and fleecing the country. In that order.

What the “Biden ruined his legacy, blow to DOJ, went back on his promise ” crowd seems to be missing is Trump’s reason for existence is retribution. Sticking with norms doesn’t work, sticking to your promises doesn’t work. Trump has taught. I’m glad the Pres. learned Trump’s lessons.

Saving for what? If it’s to keep or give additional tax cuts to the wealthy, you don’t really want to save anything. You just want different people to have it.
