He’s a 9yo foster at Feline Rescue in St Paul and sounds like a big, mellow sweetheart.

The Log Lady herself, the late Catherine E. Coulson, once helped me get a drink from a poorly functioning water fountain. I bet my eyes were like saucers when I saw it was her. I managed a graceful thank you.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

I opened this link hoping (but not expecting) to see "spendy" included, and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't even know it was a regionalism until I was well into adulthood.

If I love this one even half as much as I love her previous novel it will easily make my end of year best list.
Preorders should now be available nearly everywhere for THE INCANDESCENT, coming in Spring 2025!

This is a book about money and education and status symbols, about loving your career, about demons, about magic, about fantasy school - but most of all about how 'school' is always a kind of fantasy.

This one I've got to play along with. In no particular order:
1. A frosted sugar cookie from a long-gone bakery in one of the malls I worked in during my retail days. The frosting was just the right amount of sweet and the texture of the cookie underneath had the perfect amount of chew. 1/?

Right now, I am happy every time I find something positive to hang on to in our current sea of chaos. This book is beautiful, and it's giving me some desperately needed joy and comfort. It even has a Cleric Chih-verse easter egg! Thank you, @nghivo.bsky.social.

It isn't of David Lynch, but Angelo Badalamenti recounting the creation of Laura Palmer's theme alongside him captures so much of Lynch's creativity, his mannerisms, and how he would connect with people around him. Others are sharing favorite anecdotes; this is mine.

Inspired by this viral meme about DOGE: Research the US government has supported that can be made to sound silly, but that has contributed to human progress.

Valuable work can often be framed as absurd out of context. That doesn’t make funding research any less important.🧵
