Well, having lived with a UK media system that has long provided more attention to US mid-term elections than devolved elections in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland and local elections in England, I'll just shrug and tell you to get used to it.
Why are the American president's claims about autism the first item on British news bulletins?
He's not our president, the advice doesn't apply here and he's not presented any evidence to support his assertions.
So why spread these claims? What make this the biggest story in the UK?

If the test is "their English is good enough, they aren't allowed an interpreter" you're automatically stacking the odds against systemically minoritized languages. I know plenty of Welsh speakers with excellent English who'd still rather express themselves in Welsh - politically *and* practically

I was vaccinated against smallpox. My brother ( 2 and a half years younger) was not. Why? Because vaccination had eliminated the disease from the world by then. An object lesson or what?
If your child has missed their vaccinations, go to the GP and get them done, even if they are now teenagers.
This is catastrophic
