Pre match refreshments at La Sirène brewery followed by the main event. I knew Preston v South Melbourne was going to be big, but this was way beyond expectations. The ground crackled with atmosphere the whole night, and the football was pretty decent too. A great start to the long weekend! 1/2

Very sad to hear of Denis Law’s passing. Law was a hero of George Best’s as he was breaking through at Manchester United, and Australians got a fleeting taste of them together in 1967 and then in 1990
