So, I think for many people - especially in red leaning areas without unions - striking is tantamount to losing their jobs permanently. And a whole lot of people live paycheck to paycheck, so no, they don't have resources. I think a lot of support network building needs to be done.

Let’s get something clear. The GOP has the power to keep the government from shutting down in March. They control both chambers of Congress and the White House. If they can’t reach a budget deal within their own ranks, that completely on them.
