The current debate over ICE and CBP funding in the DHS minibus bill is misguided. You can’t simply cut funding to part of an agency whose creation was born of terror, whose roots are tainted by the idea that foreigners, and Muslims in particular, are a threat to national security.

I don’t think ICE understands the difference between a detention and an arrest. They are treating legal protestors like deportation targets.
In both cases their go-to move is an immediate take down. Wherever they are they first drag the person to the ground, then search and cuff. In the street.

Filming federal agents in public is not a crime, nobody should be harassed or restrained for doing so, nobody should have their phone confiscated for it, and nobody should get the death penalty for it. This is supposed to be a free Republic, not an authoritarian police state.
