I love books, cats, Taylor Swift, and going on long walks in the woods to release my primal feminine rage. 🌹

Just back from watching #Wicked and, my friends, I’m a changed woman. What an incredible piece of cinema. Give the cast and creatives all the awards. Wow.

India has the greatest units the rest of the world doesnt hear enough about. Nilgai is nice, but the great grand daddy of the genre is the scariest cow on the planet.

meet the Gaur. It rhymes with power and it rhymes with sour.

Yes that is a full sized tourist bus.

Lord, give me the confidence of a baker who is read to filth by Paul Hollywood for ruining his meringue nests with rose flavoring and proceeds to proudly announce he will also be putting rose flavoring in his tiramisu

Going to a brilliant Friendsgiving tonight— it’s mashed potatoes themed. As in, the hosts are making a lot of mashed potatoes and we’re all bringing things to go on mashed potatoes. I’m bringing beef bourguignon

Turkey haters have just never had turkey made correctly. Have ya'll ever had a brined and seasoned bird that's not dried out to death? It's amazing and better than any cut of chicken.

I say again, support your local public libraries!

We visited ours today to file our toddler’s first-ever passport application. It’s a major public service not all libraries offer, so we are super thankful this is a thing here. The whole process took just an hour (including a stop for pastries).

Someone pointed out that the post war baby boom wasn't bc ppl were so happy the war was over or even the US's new prosperity but the fact that a lot of new vaccines/antiviral medicines existed & they were the 1st generation of kids who all largely survived into adulthood
People died.

That’s what happened without vaccines or proper medical care or sewage or food safety.

Rules and regulations for those things are there because if not, people get sick and die. And fairly young at that.

People had so many kids bc so many died (and birth control wasn’t available).
People were not healthier in the past. They just weren't. There was no pre-industrial Eden where people drank raw milk and river water and lived healthy, pain-free lives. You cannot retvrn to good health.
