The seeming disconnect of prosecuting someone for murder over a killing they didn’t commit—what’s known as “felony murder”—has sparked public outrage and confusion in some cases. Today, forty-eight states permit some version of it.
A Friend’s Death to Mourn, and to Serve Time for
An Alabama teen was shot alongside his friend, then prosecuted for his killing. His case highlights a particularly harsh doctrine in American criminal punishment: felony murder.

There's an even bigger issue with Facebook: many local municipalities, police precincts fire companies, local gov departments, etc., only share their news via Facebook. They don't issue press releases or update .gov websites with breaking news or vital info. Instead it's exclusive to Facebook.
I've deleted most of my FB info, just kept my account alive to use site for work. So depressing watching people I friended, for whatever reason over the years, share idiotic AI slop. A big neon sign screaming "DO NOT INTERACT WITH THIS PERSON."

“Short bursts indicate an ICE sighting. Long whistles indicate agents making arrests. If you hear the whistle and you’re undocumented, said [Whitney Hu, a community activist and organizer with South Brooklyn Mutual Aid], ‘you hide. And if you’re somebody who’s not, you go to the street.’”
As ICE Street Raids Ramp Up, New Yorkers Stock Up On Whistles
Taking a cue from Chicago, community groups have distributed thousands of whistles in recent weeks — a grassroots system people in other cities have adopted to help neighbors sound the alarm.

This is far worse than anyone expected.

Trump's HUD plan would cut *two-thirds* of permanent housing and push as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people back onto the street—redirecting funds to work mandates, forced treatment, and encampment sweeps.

All as mass internment camps are being built.

Last week, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced a $20 billion package to rescue the Argentinian economy. The taxpayer-financed deal has little upside for ordinary Americans.

However, the announcement had massive economic benefits for one American: billionaire hedge fund manager Rob Citrone.

This is footage from today in MacArthur Park.

Minutes before, there were more than 20 kids playing — then, the MILITARY comes through.

The SECOND I heard about this, I went to the park to speak to the person in charge to tell them it needed to end NOW.

Absolutely outrageous.
