Alberta’s accessibility report was never shared with the public.
Only released after a FOIP.

So I broke it down:

📘 What’s in it
⚠️ Why it was buried
📥 How you can read it yourself

Transparency isn’t optional when it comes to rights.

I am furious. I am heartbroken. The UCP is prepared to claw back the Canada Disability Benefit before disabled Albertans even see a dime. This was supposed to help, not be an excuse to take away support. How dare they? How is this acceptable? #Ableg #StopTheClawback

An excellent breakdown from @zacharyweeks.bsky.social of how today’s budget, and other recent happenings, will negatively impact Albertans with disabilities. Shameful.

Brutal.
$77 MILLION CUT FROM AISH?!

This isn’t just numbers on a spreadsheet—this is people’s rent, food, survival. Disabled Albertans already fight for scraps, and now the gov wants to take even that? Absolutely shameful. Do better. #AISH #Ableg #AlbertaBudget

Albertans are slowly waking up to the depths of the scandal enveloping the UCP government.

A lot of folks are wondering how to explain what's going on to people who haven't been tuning in.

Here's the what, so what now what, and what's next of the situation. 🧵

While we’ve all been busy talking about tariffs this week, the UCP continues to do UCP things. This is an excellent explainer.

An important read. As the mom of a young adult who is disabled, events this past week have been unsettling. In our own province, I’m beyond upset with the funding cuts to disability programs announced this week, as well as learning about the numbers of people waiting on FSCD and PDD supports.
That’s not me being a bleeding heart liberal. That’s normal.

If a person has a disability, that person has no responsibility to suddenly become NOT disabled for the convenience of typical people. But society does owe that person help.

Happy to have made the switch here a few months ago; just wish I had paid more attention to who I was following prior to deactivating my account. Missing the people I followed who were advocates for the disability and 2SLGBTQ+ communities. I’d be grateful for follow suggestions, as more move over.
