My opinion (former typography teacher who studied handwriting repair): teach touch typing AND legible handwriting. Old NZ print-script is legible but garbage. Modern cursive also a bit garbage. Italic is great and has zealots but isn’t for everyone. www.education.vic.gov.au/school/teach...
