About thirty years ago I held a job teaching music at a Jewish school in Sydney.
I quit after one term because I found the propaganda posters in the classrooms, asking little kids for spare change for Israel, weird and disturbing.
I regretted leaving the kids but I couldn’t be part of that school.

I know it’s all been said but as a Tasmanian living in Melbourne during the Port Arthur massacre, I remember the shock, the horror, the sadness…but also the coming together…even John Howard doing the right thing just once.
