This is a bigger issue than people realize. Not just jobs lost. But their families losing benefits. Landlords losing tenants. Cities and towns losing revenue. This is how recessions start

Ready Fire Aim is no way to govern.
More accurate, fewer words;

"There are plenty of contractors going under".

A friend furloughed 75% of staff (furlough w/paying for health insurance for three months), 50% exec pay cut, 25% rest of staff to keep as many people w/salary.

PS: Wasn't 18F a government office, not a contractor.

Public schools are the foundation of our communities, but they’re under attack. The Trump admin's plan to gut education funding & dismantle the Department of Education threatens millions of students. Take a stand on March 4 to protect our kids and fight for the schools they deserve. #ProtectOurKids

Donold is blaming a plane crash that killed 67 people on “DEI” with zero evidence.

He is attempting to use racism to deflect from the fact it is HIS fault. He had just removed 100 FAA senior officials.

It’s been 11 days and there are 67 bodies in the Potomac in Washington DC because of him.

Senate Dems drew a line today, refusing to vote on Trump's budget pick, Russ Vought, calling him "clearly unfit." This is the guy who wrote the plan in Project 2025 to take away healthcare, food, and benefits for tens of millions of Americans—yet Republicans pushed his confirmation through anyway.

among the many crazy things about this statement is that “the diversity of america’s fighting force is how it has triumphed over its enemies” has been a part of american military propaganda since at least the civil war

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.

i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country

I love this so much!

At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions.

This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.
