When I see hybrid style athletes run the speed and volume to maintain sub 3 marathons I just can’t square that circle when it comes to leg day.
I’m completely destroyed 3x a month.

NEW: Five years ago today, Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19, and the NBA shut down, signaling to many the start of the pandemic in America. After dozens of interviews with those directly involved, Tim MacMahon and I reconstructed the events of that day: www.espn.com/nba/story/_/...
'He's got it': An oral history of the NBA's COVID-19 shutdown -- and how it changed sports forever
On the fifth anniversary of the night the NBA shut down, ESPN reveals how it happened, down to the minute -- told by the players, executives, politicians, doctors and journalists who were there.

LSU announced it will hold an open practice April 12 with an autograph session for fans afterward as opposed to the traditional spring game.

Feels like a good solution. Fans get access, team doesn't reveal much.

First run impressions of Pegasus Premium:
1 hour at zone 3. Picked up close to a mile more than my Pegasus 39s.
The energy return more than makes up for the weight. Feels like you’re running on a marshmallow.

Size up a 1/2 size.

women's sports are thriving and growing in every possible way—participation, fandom, financial support, etc. the only actual existential threat to them I can think of is "Republicans saying we need to ban them after falsely claiming they are overrun by trans athletes"

The Post has covered Trump intensely and attracted many new subscribers, many at deeply discounted rates.

But it's down a couple hundred thousand subscribers from where it would have been without Bezos's decisions.

My story for NPR:

Bezos' changes at 'Washington Post' lead to mass subscription cancellations — again
Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos's changes to the opinion pages have led subscribers to cancel in droves. It's the third wave of mass cancellations at the Post in just a few months.

Pulled the trigger on the orange/white Nike Pegasus premiums.
I have some travel upcoming & I hate bringing 3 pairs of shoes.

Hopefully they can be a daily wear and let me get some easy miles in between gym days.

It’s been harder to lace up the shoes a week after my first 50 mile run.
Chalking it up to overall fatigue.
Any suggestions #trailrunners

I ran 50 miles on a pretty gnarly off-road Jeep course in Quinton, OK.
15 hours of hard work and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure.

Today is my birthday.

And as such, you should buy my book that was named one of the top 50 nonfiction books of last year by WaPo and is now longlisted for the National Books Critics Circle award for autobiography.
