Theres a lot worse shit going on in politics right now than this, but it's still unbelievably grating that a thing I avoid due to food allergies is now coded as a *conservative* thing.

I would add a nuance here and say that some right wing tendencies have ideology beyond raw power.
Their ideologies suck, but they are ideologies.

I know this is the most obvious thing but it’s not that rightwing people have bad views, it’s that they have *no* views other than accumulating power. They just lie! They just pretend to care about free speech or veterans or Christianity or parental involvement in school, they just make shit up!

The news just keeps coming and it's all so overwhelming. I've never felt so anxious about the future. I want to be strong and proud of being trans, unafraid to face whatever they throw at us. But I'm terribly afraid. Learning to be strong and scared at the same time is difficult, but I'm trying.

This, and also take advantage of publisher websites if you really need a specific book! Just about anywhere you can acquire a book is a better place to put your money than Amazon
A reminder - don't use Amazon, but go to bookshops, which play a far more vital role in promoting literacy just by simply making books more visible, and allow you to find things by chance rather than by what the algorithm decides.
