Queer neurodivergent mom, wife, once’nfuture librarian. Many cats. Hello, fellow traveler!
The new STEVLAND book is on hold for me at the library! The silver lining of emerging from a rough year is catching up on the best books. Sue Burke’s Semiosis is beyond a duology! 😻

Tried a new thing 10 years into this marriage: responded to a well-meaning gift with honesty instead of fawning, making sure to prioritize appreciation of her thoughtfulness. Honest communication requires healing which requires time.

The claims that McIver, Padilla, and Lander were committing assault should make you question every other time LEOs claim assault or resisting arrest, if you weren’t already.

A Florida weatherman telling his viewers he can no longer be confident in his forecasts due to cuts to atmospheric science is the kind of resistance content I’m here for.

Kudos, Sir.🌦️

In an absolutely devastating ruling, the Supreme Court has allowed the transgender military ban to go into effect.

This is shocking - the ban explicitly called transgender people dishonorable for being transgender. It is as clear as day soaked in animus.

This is a hard one, this day. Nothing in particular. Just really hard to flip the internal monologue to a healthier channel.

The fact that they’re tracking autism and not the bird flu automatically tells you they’re operating on eugenics and not actually wanting people to be healthy. They want you sick, disabled, or dead.

the thing I hate most about that rfk quote is that autistic lives have value and worth and beauty and dignity whether they are able to do the things other people do or not. no one is defined by ability or lack thereof and to frame divergence as lack is monster stuff, utterly godless

Maybe we should honor the women who were real astronauts.

From left to right are Shannon W. Lucid, Margaret Rhea Seddon, Kathryn D. Sullivan, Judith A. Resnik, Anna L. Fisher, and Sally K. Ride. NASA selected all six women as their first female astronaut candidates in January 1978.

All Your Friends are Here is one of the best books I've read this year and my book people will be receiving copies as presents. More Tenebrous Press for me in the near future.
Tenebrous is run by 2 lunatics on opposite sides of the globe. Thx to the blessings of our combined neuroses, it's easy for us to forget that, despite our refusal to chase safe names & trends, despite our limited resources...we kick a ton of ass.
Sometimes we need to remind ourselves.
This is 2024🖤☠️
