It’s OK to admit that we’re off the map of our experience. The rules & best practices some of us are accustomed to, in certain situations, may no longer apply. They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+.
Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them.
I think about it a lot in moments like this.

Some Republicans are also introducing bills in state legislatures that mimic the language of Trump’s directive that federal employees around DEI. Yes: workers are being told to snitch on their colleagues for suspicious diversity activity and for trying to be inclusive.
