Back at #ffconf after eight years! I don't remember being supplied with quality pastries last time.

Reading the press release, here's the other vehicle they'll be trialling (the Neomor D01). How cute is this

Led ride around Hackney this Sunday, starting at 11am from the Rio Cinema. Taking in a good portion of the borough and its cycleways / LTNs. Weather is looking, quite frankly, ridiculously good for November!

See the link below to sign up:

I've seen the trailer for that new Daniel Day Lewis film twice at the cinema this week, and I'm not sure I can take men speaking gruffly in Yorkshire accents seriously anymore. It just makes me think of this 80s pork advert now.

This is nice option to see, but I feel like if Decathlon really want to be allies then they should make the points count for more if I make a donation to a charity, instead of it being the same amount of money as I could have off my next purchase.

Found a way to easily query OpenStreetMaps for public e-bike chargers (without requiring installing an app / downloading maps).

Just move the map to the area you're interested in and run the query (it will take a long time / error out) if you've selected a large area):

Anyone know where I could get something like this printed? It's 11 x 33 x 13mm.

I'm trying to move my bike's front light off the fork and onto a mount attached to the stem faceplate. This is after a fruitless afternoon scouring premade mounts, assuming I could find one that would work in a pinch.

Went to Wuppertal. Took a more than reasonable number of pictures of trains and train infrastructure.

If not for e-bikes, then why for e-bikes shaped?

I'm staying in Utrecht for a few days. It's absolutely fantastic that you can securely store a bike overnight in several city centre garages, at no cost. Turns what would be a huge headache in most cities into pretty much an afterthought.

Can't help but think of Paper's Please when I'm using a paper ticket on a train. I can see the extra mental effort it requires from them, all the bits of information they have to check, compared to just scanning a QR code.

I only just found out how to make 'Safe Cycling London' my base map on Google Maps. Also I not that it calculates hire bike journey fees.

If you wanted to excite people who are considering moving into a new build, tell them they're a three minute cycle from Screwfix, Topps Tiles, and a couple of paint vendors

Cars, especially SUV’s, are getting bigger every year – clogging streets, taking up space, and more worryingly putting lives at risk.

London must use every tool in the policy toolbox to reverse this dangerous trend - and the Assembly agreed this last week.

If you come across this petition... from what I've heard, the "meanie council is closing down local community venue!" narrative is bobbins. The leaseholder is heavily in debt to the council, and apparently a tenants group is trying to get the lease off him.

Save The Bath House
Locals saved The Bath House. They turned a crumbling building into a thriving, self-sustaining community hub. Now the council wants to kick them out. Help fight back:

A "once noble club"? Are we just going to forget their role under Franco? And the illegal state aid they (and Barcelona) received?

ooh my Samsung watch now (maybe this isn't new?) has built in support for interval training. Shouldn't have to look at the watch at all during a run now.

Anyone local to Hackney Wick know what happened here (Chapman Road)? 10 meters or so of fencing damaged, and part of a bus bumper left in amongst the rubble.

This does genuinely bother me also, but what to do about it?

I think the UK's love of repeater signals (i.e. lights not just on the entry to a junction, but also on the far side) does encourage encroachment like this (by drivers too)
From the londoncycling community on Reddit: It's such a minor thing but it drives me crazy. Why not just stop where you can see the traffic light, even if it means you don't get to skip to the front?
