I'm just thinking that it would be all well and good to create a specific exception for particular public transport vehicles to cross the bridge, but if there was a wider exemption then this could support micromobility innovations more generally (see pics).

Back at #ffconf after eight years! I don't remember being supplied with quality pastries last time.

Reading the press release, here's the other vehicle they'll be trialling (the Neomor D01). How cute is this

Many European countries have much looser restrictions on where mopeds or similar classes of vehicles can go. We often implement LTN like measures with the sign on the left, which bans all motor vehicles, and don't have an equivalent of the one on the right which allows bicycles and mopeds.

I don't even know what sign you would use for a "no motor vehicles except mopeds" restriction, maybe an "Evel Knievel" sign, and then an extra sign below to state the exception? Meanwhile EU nations have a sign that allows (and I think also requires?) moped riders and cyclists to use a given path.

I think you ought to try a swoopy bridge like this for yourself! Or at least watch some POV videos, and try to imagine how "dizzy" you'd get in reality. I can recommend one in Utretcht, and there's another in Glasgow that I can't wait to try myself but haven't had the opportunity yet.

It's okay though, we've dealt with the danger from speeding vehicles

E-bikes (except e-bikes)

The signs they've put up seem to muddy the waters significantly

Otherwise, isn't this just a list of things that are already illegal?

This is nice option to see, but I feel like if Decathlon really want to be allies then they should make the points count for more if I make a donation to a charity, instead of it being the same amount of money as I could have off my next purchase.

If the data can be trusted (and tbh, my own experience bears this out), the availability in the Netherlands and Germany is outstanding. In the UK? Not so much.

There's a cluster in the Lake District but I'm not sure that's accurate. visitlakedistrict.com seems to have been scrubbed of any mention.

Moved the light using the custom thingamajig. Seems to work well.

It does look a little wierd perhaps. I might try replacing it with a sleeker light eventually. The bike came with a rechargeable rear light instead of one that is wired in, maybe I'll find a set that is suitable to replace both?

Two prints of the model arrived on Thursday, so that's 60 odd hours from having the idea, to having it in my hand. Cost £7, most of that was shipping.

I've tested that it will fit (which thankfully it does) but not actually moved the light yet.

Anyone know where I could get something like this printed? It's 11 x 33 x 13mm.

I'm trying to move my bike's front light off the fork and onto a mount attached to the stem faceplate. This is after a fruitless afternoon scouring premade mounts, assuming I could find one that would work in a pinch.

Went to Wuppertal. Took a more than reasonable number of pictures of trains and train infrastructure.

If not for e-bikes, then why for e-bikes shaped?

If you wanted to excite people who are considering moving into a new build, tell them they're a three minute cycle from Screwfix, Topps Tiles, and a couple of paint vendors

As long as Tesla are underperforming the rest of the market, I can't bring myself to get that upset about it all

ooh my Samsung watch now (maybe this isn't new?) has built in support for interval training. Shouldn't have to look at the watch at all during a run now.

Anyone local to Hackney Wick know what happened here (Chapman Road)? 10 meters or so of fencing damaged, and part of a bus bumper left in amongst the rubble.
