I'm not voting for a labour party that doesn't look to improve the lives of working people. There are many many fingers that can be pointed at this Labour Gov but I didn't think "unwillingness to examine & improve labour practices" would be something they'd go for.

When I was a teenager there was a bus direct from my hometown in Germany to London - we had a British army base, and this direct bus connection was one of the benefits of that. One summer I went on that bus to go volunteer in an old people's home in Southend-on-Sea. I had just turned 18 and was... 🧵

Sometimes when I see words like Farage’s, I think of all the times I was abused and assaulted on the streets by men who looked like him, and told by men who looked like him that boys will be boys.
The second paragraph of the Farage piece in the Telegraph today seems to pose a pretty clear threat of contempt of court, in particular because of the way the first sentence provides innuendo for the second. How is this figure supposed to get a fair trial?

Tucked away in the 'One Big Beautiful Bill' is the requirement that all visitors to the US must pay $250 just to enter the country starting 1 October! For a family of 5 that's $1250! I doubt this will help America's crashing tourism business which is down 10% already since January

A Labour MP posted this image, the direct descendant of UKIP’s Brexit “Breaking Point” immigration poster, and then disabled the replies and quote tweets. Its only value is as a landmark for the moment that this government fully took its mask off and embraced pure xenophobia.
