Genuinely curious what recommendations you all have for shows that either have been around for a while that may have been missed and underrated or any new series or short series. Just watched The Perfect Couple and Nobody Wants This and a few too many horrors. What are some good holiday binges?!

Lots of scams already started up on Bluesky. Beware any “famous” accounts seeming to want to chat with you personally. They are either Pig Butchering Scams (see many YouTube posts to understand what this is), or other kinds of phishing scams.

Bluesky? Not so much.

An interesting fan #painting from the Qing Dynasty, titled "The Picture of Beauty("Pink Lady") & Skeletons".
One side is a maid painting, with a group of women chatting leisurely and comfortably. The other side is a skeleton perspective of them.

Yeah, I'm okay with an echo chamber. I'm sure the Allied forces chatter was an echo chamber, too. They didn't need to hear the nazis weigh in while they were planning the Normandy invasion, and we don't either.

I’ve seen enough to make a call: Bluesky is going to be a legit competitor to Twitter.

Sweet.

As with all social media: don’t overdo it in your excitement! :) Remember there’s real life outside your phone screen. Make that a priority every day.

We should acknowledge that MAGA and Trump’s victory were enabled by internet platforms whose business models reward fear and outrage. Dems had 8 yrs after FB enabled Trump and never had a floor vote in either chamber on a single bill that could possibly have addressed the harms. 🧵1/x

That real love can be so far removed from the sugar-coated hearts and flowers we’re so often fed but is rather something often involving challenge and heartbreaking pain, Rilke shines a light on so beautifully.
"The purpose of life is to be defeated by greater and greater things."

"To love is good, too: love being difficult."

"I hold this to be the highest task of a bond between two people: that each should stand guard over the solitude of the other."

— Rainer Maria Rilke

Greetings from just south of Hanoi! This lovely woman on TikTok calls herself MaiMai there. As an old man who hated what America did to Vietnam with every bone in his body, I am delighted to tell you how horribly we failed, and show you how splendidly The People there recovered.

I just completed Dragon Age: The Veil-Guard tonight and oh my god what an ending it was. I enjoyed this game from the beginning to the end so much. I did every side-quest, companion quest & every minuscule thing I could do on the map & to me it paid off in the end. I loved this new team I had. ❤️🫶🏻🔥⚔️
