Hegseth: Typical Trump. All bluster, very low substance… he’s an armchair tough guy. This is a guy who said that John McCain is not a war hero yet he sought his own five military deferments

Why does it take so long for basic fucking things like this to happen that should’ve happened three years ago or more? It’s just such a low bar, and so many people can’t even jump over that.

This is going to hurt him bad with the base, who do not believe there is such a thing as Nazi death camps
New: Recordings from private autism conferences show Trump HHS pick Robert F. Kennedy Jr. vilifying & conspiracy theorizing about agencies he's set to lead. Videos show RFK Jr comparing CDC vaccine programs to "Nazi death camps" & calling for researchers to be jailed. www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...
RFK Jr. attacked the CDC’s ‘fascism’ and likened vaccinating children to abuse by the Catholic Church
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Donald Trump’s pick for Health and Human Services secretary, also argued for jailing vaccine scientists in previously unreported comments at autism conferences.

This speaks volumes. Biden (via DOJ) shielded Trump from justice, and has been doing the same for Netanyahu. We need to be resisting more than Trump and Trumpism - we need to be resisting the neoliberalism that paved the way for Trump’s return to power.
Incredible that the US government does more to protect Netanyahu from the consequences of his crimes than it does protecting the US people from Trump or his crimes.

All that this reflexive contrarianism masquerading as accuracy-pilled balls-and-strikesism manages to do in the end is carry a whole lot of water for some of the worst cranks in society. It's apologia for conspiracists via bothsidesist pedantry.

I feel like everyone has forgotten that towards the end of his first term, Trump was already at the point where he openly ordered the cops to kill a specific antifascist he didn't like. And local cops said, yes sir, and gunned Michael Reinoehl down.

We Need To Take Trump’s Rhetoric Seriously, But Not Literally vs. Have That Guy Killed
Almost every day, the establishment seems to get it wrong trying to use Donald Trump’s words to paint him as a dire threat to our democracy. What so many fail to see—and what his supporters have long ...

For a subculture that professes to hate identity politics, these people routinely make certain identity characteristics not a minor but the *focal point* of their critiques.

Like, in this delightful little contrast, one of the two is gay. That's it. That's the criticism.

This is why there’s absolutely no way Trump can allow these people to have confirmation hearings. He’s just gonna do 100% recess appointments and executive orders. Which makes some of the really balls to the wall insane shit harder to optically pull off and sell as legitimate government.
You didn't miss it. This was reported for the first time in my newsletter this morning.
