The Instructions by Adam Levin is a good one, and Coover’s The Public Burning is fun. Lanark is a complex trip and Perez’s Life, A Users Manual is good, City of Saints and Madmen, ADA, Stone Junction (just reading down the shelves now) Gilligan’s Wake is top notch

The process of working on my current novel is entirely different that it’s been with my previous books. In the past I have had loose ideas about the big events but I was happy to let the story take its own path to get there. With Book Two, I need to have everything mapped out in detail
